Amsterdam Film Meeting 2025

From 4 to 7 December, the Amsterdam Film Meeting returns to Filmhuis Cavia for its second edition. The programme includes two expanded cinema performances featuring the work of Malcolm Le Grice, Dutch national premieres of new films by Rita Azevedo Gomes, Racornelia and Jean-Luc Godard, as well as historical titles such as Carlos Reichenbach’s O Império do Desejo (1981), Jackie Raynal’s Deux fois (1968) and a compilation of rarely shown 8mm and 16mm films by local filmmaker Fred Pelon.

The event will also present a screening of Francis Savel’s Équation à un inconnu (1980) on a restored 16mm print commissioned in 2016 by filmmaker Yann Gonzalez from the original negative and printed in the Netherlands, who will introduce the film in person.
