David Bordwell (1947–2024)
American filmscholar and writer David Bordwell passed away last week on 29 February. Kristin Thompson, his wife and lifelong collaborator, wrote a moving obituary on their blog yesterday. Sabzian will publish a more elaborate obituary in the coming weeks to honour Bordwell’s lasting impression on film writing.
