Cinema Nova: Fin de bail / Einde huur

By the 31st of March 2024, Supernova Coop, the cooperative associated with the iconic Cinema Nova in Brussels, aims to acquire the long-term lease of the cinema building located at number 3 rue d’Arenberg. Every cinephile, whether they are loyal or occasional attendees, friends of friends of Nova, non-profit organizations, private companies, public institutions, and more, can become shareholders.

To achieve the goal of acquiring their cinema building, Cinema Nova has just launched its new program, which starts on 11 January and includes a diverse array of films, meetings, exhibitions, concerts, and special events. The program will run until the end of February, after which the final countdown to 31 March will commence after a closing party.

The program kicks off with a screening of Jean Harlez’s Le chantier des gosses (1970), accompanied by his first film, Quand chacun apporte sa part (1954). Jean Harlez will be present to introduce the screening, alongside his partner Marcelle Dumont, who wrote the dialogues for the film.
